Very light jets are among the aircraft Jet Charter Vegas arranges for trips to and from Las Vegas. The types we arrange seat 4 to 7 passengers, with published ranges from 1,125 to 1,550 nautical miles. Which one suits your trip depends on the passenger count, the baggage, the distance and the airports at both ends.
Typical Aircraft
The types we arrange in this category are Cessna Citation CJ1, Cessna Citation M2, Cessna Citation Mustang, Cirrus Vision Jet SF50, Eclipse 500, Embraer Phenom 100, Honda HA-420 HondaJet and HondaJet Elite.
When a Very Light Jet Fits a Las Vegas Trip
Very light jets suit a Las Vegas day trip for two to four people, such as a meeting in Los Angeles, Phoenix or Salt Lake City with time to be home the same evening. They are the most economical way into a jet cabin. Luggage space is the thing to check, because these cabins are compact.
Cabin size, baggage space and range vary across these 8 types, so send us the details and we will narrow the list down for you.
Whether a particular aircraft can use a particular airport on your date depends on its weight and that day’s temperature and wind. The operator works that out, and your advisor will confirm it before anything is booked.
Vetting Behind Every Trip
Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:
- FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
- Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
- Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
- Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.
Las Vegas-Specific Patterns We Plan Around
Harry Reid International (KLAS), formerly McCarran, is the only airport in the Las Vegas area with customs, so a flight arriving from abroad lands there first. None of the Clark County airports have a curfew, but the towers at Henderson Executive (KHND) and North Las Vegas (KVGT) close in the evening, so a late departure from either one takes a little more planning. On the biggest event weekends, such as Formula 1 in November and the NBAA business aviation convention in October, the FAA requires a parking reservation for every private aircraft at Harry Reid, Henderson Executive and North Las Vegas, and for some events at Boulder City too, and the reservations go first come, first served. In summer, the heat can limit how much an aircraft carries on a hot afternoon, so a morning departure is often the easier choice.
